All the things you need to be pool ready!
Hello, friends!! It’s summer! And that means pool season! During the summer months, you will inevitably find the kids and I out back playing by the pool. There is nothing more enjoyable for us than the combination of sun and water. Whether you have a pool in your backyard or pack up the car and head across town, this list will have you pool ready in no time!
Top Amazon Summer Pool Must Haves:
Pool Floats
You’ve gotta have pool floats! They are the ultimate way to lounge and play by the pool. We like to have a few different shapes and sizes handy. Here are some of our favorites!
Inflatable Avocado Float and Ball, Sprinkle Donut Tube, Llama Pool Float, Watermelon Inflatable Island
Hair Care
This is a big one for us. All four of my children are blonde and totally bleach out in the summer, which can mean green hair if we’re not careful. Fear not, after much trial and error, we have found the perfect hair care regime!
For prevention before you swim apply Aquagaurd to protect with chlorine absorption. After swimming use Malibu Swimmers Wellness shampoo and conditioner. Use Malibu Swimmers Wellness Remedy packet to correct any green coloring.
Sun Protection
While I am an avid fan of sunshine, when you’re in it everyday all day, you need some reprieve. We use a combination of sunscreen, rashgaurds, sunhats, and umbrellas to protect us. Here are my top favs.
Beach Towels & Blankets
When it comes to water play, you can never have enough beach towels and blankets! They become picnic blankets, fort walls, head wraps, cozy blankets…you name it. So I like to keep stocked up. Here are just a few great ones!
Pool Toys
After rounds and rounds of who can make the biggest splash, Marco Pollo, and rock the boat, the kids are ready for some pool toys! Here are just a few of our favorite toys!
Floating Basketball hoop, Kickboards, Inflatable ring toss, Assorted diving rings and toys
Floaties
For little ones who can’t swim on their own, floaties are a must! My absolute favorite floaties are the puddle jumpers. They allow kiddos to swim safely and independently. I trust them completely, and they are coast guard approved. For babies who don’t meet the floatie weight requirement, I love this activity float as an alternative to just holding your baby.
