Stitch Fix Review: March 2020
Hey, friends! I’m finally back with a Stitch Fix review. It’s been months! I had felt a little uninspired from my last few fixes, so I took a little break posting. But I loved this fix. And moreover, the current mood of the world is so heavy right now with this global pandemic that a light and fluffy post felt like a nice distraction from the severity of all that’s been happening around us.
And so, I’m excited to be back sharing my reviews…with bedhead, but, hey, we are living that quarantine life over here. If you are reading this in real time, note that Stitch Fix is still operating. To accommodate the current circumstances, they have extended their return window substantially until the intensity of the pandemic decreases. Which I much appreciate.

What I asked for:
This fix I asked for spring layering pieces, outfits for an upcoming trip to Vegas (which has been canceled due to the virus), and summer sandals. I also asked for no spaghetti straps.
What I got: My March 2020 Stitch Fix Review
Lush Kona Surplice Bodysuit Blouse.
Size medium. True to size. Ok, I must admit when I first saw a body suit in my fix I had immediate flashbacks of the bad bodysuits of my junior high days. I used to rock them with colored Guess jeans (tight rolled, of course), Easton loafers, and a vest. But I will tell you, friends, this is not your 90s bodysuit. It has plenty of stretch for a longer torso. Is super comfortable. And perfect to pair with high waist pants to accomplish the perfect tucked look without ever having to worry about untucking. The pattern is super on trend. And the wrap front is flattering.

Just Black Norval Cropped Vintage Denim Jacket
Size medium. True to size with an oversized fit. This is another piece I was underwhelmed about when I first pulled it out of the box. The oversized boxy fit felt like it wouldn’t be flattering on my body type, but I actually loved the relaxed fit compared to my usual fitted jackets. This is one of the reasons I love styling services! They pick things you may not normally, allowing you to try things you may never try without the nudge. The black on the jacket is a true black with an oversized, crop fit. You could size down for a more fitted look.

Just USA Hanna High Rise Skinny Jean
Size 28. True to size. These are a great basic skinny with a medium wash. They have a distressed cuff without any other distressing making them a little less casual than some. And, these jeans have an awesome stretch, which is always welcomed! They are considered a high rise, but hit more like a mid to high rise falling under the belly button. I liked these, but did not necessarily need them. Or love them. As a mama of four, I prefer a true high rise…the higher the better.

Aware By Vero Moda Minara Maxi Skirt
Size medium. Fits true to size. Leopard is everywhere, and I am here for it! So I loved the idea of a leopard skirt. To clarify, this skirt is more of a midi than a maxi on my 5’9″ frame. It has a sheer leopard outer layer with a short skirt lining underneath making it perfect for summer heat, but also easily transitioned to any season. It has a thick elastic waistband. And can be dressed up or down. I loved it, however, waivered because I don’t know that (due to current circumstances) I really need it. Our state is currently under a shelter in place order that may last for a while, so skirts aren’t really my daily attire. But it is such a versatile piece that I am torn!

Nine Britton Vivienne Midi Knit Dress
Size medium. Runs just a small, but is a very fitted dress. Size up if in between sizes or prefer a little less fitted. This knit midi dress has a small v neck, a twist front with faux wrap front, and hit just below the knees (I’m 5’9″ for reference). I love the draping and twist detailing on this dress. They are in such flattering spots. However, I specified no spaghetti straps in my stylist note, which makes this is an automatic no in my book. At 38, there are somethings I’ve just decided I will not do, and spaghetti straps are one of them. Also, it was too snug and clingy for my taste. I prefer a loser fit, or a more structured fabric for a fitted look.
