Hey friends! I’m super excited to switch gears and share my experience with Arbonne’s 30 Days to Healthy Living. After having my last child, I made a conscious decision to be more mindful of my health. Both in regards to the things I am putting into my body, as well a commitment to regular exercise. I wanted to have more energy to raise these four babies I’d been given; to model healthy habits to my family, and to be able to do everything I could to live a long, healthy life for my people.
And I was. And I felt great. Until almost a year ago when my health shifted. I had a shoulder injury that required surgery and seriously limited my ability to exercise. And had began experiencing hormonal issues that left me feeling sick, exhausted, and desperate to find a solution. While I did not want to take hormone medication, I saw no other choice aside from invasive surgeries. However, the medication only seemed to mask the symptoms without actually healing the cause.
Anti Inflammatory lifestyle
In May 2019, I decided I wanted to overhaul my diet as an attempt to expedite my stagnant recovery from shoulder surgery. When I began researching, I was shocked to find that an anti inflammatory diet seemed to be an answer to both of my health issues. I already knew that inflammation is the body’s natural response to injury, so avoiding foods that can cause inflammation along with adding anti inflammatory foods can aid in the healing process. However, I was unaware of the correlation between diet and hormones. The more I researched, the more I found that an anti inflammatory diet can naturally help regulate hormones as well.

Let me preface this with some honesty, I did not want to do this challenge… While the choice seemed clear, I did not WANT to give up coffee, dairy, gluten, processed foods, sugar, and alcohol for 30 days. My Arbonne 30 Days to Healthy Living Results:
After the 30 Days to Healthy Living, I lost 4″ around my waist and 1″ around my hips.
But more importantly, I significantly reduced inflammation in my body. During the 30 days, I saw an increase of range of motion in my shoulder and decrease in pain. And moreover, I drastically reduced symptoms relating to my hormonal imbalances.
Symptoms completely eliminated: daily headaches, difficulty sleeping, brain fog, fatigue, nightly hot flashes, low blood sugar, and bloating. Symptoms greatly reduced: Menorrhagia (heavy, prolonged menstrual bleeding), frequent and irregular menstrual bleeding, and hair loss. I have since stopped my hormone medication due to serious side effects. And have an appointment with my OBGYN to discuss completely eliminating medication and solely using the program to manage imbalances.
Even I can survive 30 Days without coffee!! But seriously, I’m now a firm believer. This program helped immensely with issues that were significantly impacting my overall health. I feel more energetic and healthy for the first time in a year and plan to continue incorporating this way of eating into my everyday life. I’m so happy for you to have found a diet that works for you. Following an anti-inflammatory diet while healing makes so much sense. I wish doctors would be more helpful with recommending what to eat when you have health issues. I bet that would have helped my healing after surgery, too. I wasn’t aware of how it affected hormones, and that information would have been really helpful in my mid-20s before resorting to medication.
